HP has made my HP Photosmart D7260 printer obsolete and won't let me us third party ink cartridges. Can t get rid of the non HP ink cartridge warning printer is frozen on HP's ink protection bug which effectively makes a good printer obsolete by not making ink cartridges for it and not allowing consumers to use third party cartridges.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

I'm still waiting on a private message from HP. HP has taken down the links to software and firmware on its website saying they no longer support this model. I think if I could flash the printer chip and go back to the previous firmware, but have had no luck finding a link to the firmware download. Would someone PM me if they have a viable link to the firmware or maybe would have it still on their computer and would be willing to share it. Thanks
