Hi @Avestaverma,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Ink Tank 319 printer isn’t printing from your MacBook Air with macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, here are a few steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure your printer is compatible with macOS Sonoma. HP may not have released drivers specifically for Sonoma yet, so check the HP Support website for any updates or macOS Sonoma-compatible drivers.

Update or Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and select your HP Ink Tank 319 printer.
  • Remove the printer by selecting it and clicking the minus (-) button.
  • Visit the HP website, download the latest driver for your model, and install it.
  • Once installed, add the printer again in System Settings.

Use AirPrint (if available): Some HP printers support Apple’s AirPrint. Check if your printer is listed as an AirPrint device in System Settings > Printers & Scanners. This can bypass the need for additional drivers.

Reset Printing System:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or hold the Control key and click) in the printer list, and select Reset printing system. This will remove all printers, so you’ll need to re-add your printer afterward.

Update macOS: If you haven’t done so, ensure macOS is up to date. Go to System Settings > Software Update and install any available updates.

Check Printer Status and Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected properly and powered on.
  • Make sure the printer is showing as "Idle" or "Ready" in Printers & Scanners.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
