I upgraded from Win8 to Win10 and downloaded the C4200 printer drivers from HP website. No problems, but when you click on the HP solution centre icon, it goes to a button with a f and i in a blue circle, which does nothing. It used to go to a print, scan, copy menu. This was a clean install.

You are welcome.
I've used HP Scan and Capture - it's easy to use and provides a decent sized preview window.

Old, unsupported Solution Software was dependent on Flash to open the main menu of the software.
Flash was discontinued permanently in January 2021 due to security concerns that were not (could not be) addressed.
What is lost?
- The aforementioned "start" menu doesn't work.
- Any tools available in that menu cannot be reached using the unusable menu - this is the worst part since the Tool Box was located in the Start menu and cannot be called "stand alone".
What is still there?
- The main Scan software is still there AND can be started using the call to that software: HP Scan
- The Printing Preferences (settings) should still work - this means you can print from other programs (Word, for example).
- In addition, there are other "Scan" programs you can use with Windows 10.
Leave the software installed.

HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
Examples of Scan Options...
HP Scan Extended
- Download-Save-Install > HP Scan Extended
- HPSE is a subset an older Full Feature Software suite.
- HPSE features are very similar to the HP Scan Software released after 2015.
- Although HPSE appears to be a separate software, HPSE is dependent on the infrastructure provided by the Full Feature Software. The Full Feature Software for your printer should be installed before installing and using HPSE.
- OPTIONAL: Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
- Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
- Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Pin to Taskbar
- Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Send to Desktop (Create a Shortcut)
- Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Pin to Start
NAPS2 – “Not Another PDF Scanner”
- Download-Save-Install > NAPS2
- Not another PDF Scanner – free program scans PDF files and image(s) as .jpeg or PDF file(s).
- Includes an OCR feature – may need Ghostscript add-on (See NAPS2 forum entry)
- Read the Support pages for information
- Download, save, and install the NAPS2 software to use.
