Thanks for this fix. It finally worked after I uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled it. One hint that worked for me was that the system continually got hung up. I realized that I had to keep clicking "OK" on the error message when I was loading Easy Start as that seemed to stop the HP software from working properly. After clicking continually 6 or 7 times the HP software started to work and I could complete the download.

I'm getting something similar with MAC Catalina version 10.15.7.
"Matterhorn.framework" will damage your computer.
It would not print. I re-installed drivers.
Still get the warning. I leave the "Report Malware to Apple" statement checked, click OK and it prints.
I resorted to this forum since HP does not have real people anywhere near their help desk, if you want to call it that. Virtual Agent is useless.

Hi. I just got off the phone with AppleCare. They had me reinstall the Catalina OS again since this incompatibility issue with HP has been fixed. After I installed the OS, I added the printer in System Preferences and all is well now.

I have resolved this issue for my combination of computer (iMac with macOS Version 10.15.7 Catalina) and printers (HP ENVY 4520 and an HP OfficeJet 4630). After uninstalling all HP files related to my printers, I turned off both of the printers. Then I went to SYSTEM PREFERENCES and opened the Printers and Scanners page. I moved the cursor into the window that displays the available printers and right clicked on that window. The option displayed is to Reset printing system. I clicked on that and all of the printers and scanners were deleted. I still saw the offending pop up message so I clicked on "Show in Finder" and deleted the files that were highlighted. Then I emptied the trash and restarted the computer. Once the computer had restarted, I downloaded the HP Smart App from HP's support page. Using that app I reinstalled both of my printers. (To add a printer click on the + sign at the upper right corner of the Home Page of the app.) Then I used the options presented on the Home page of the App (the little colored tiles) to print and scan and both worked. The previous series of steps that I used to print or scan are no longer what works but I can much more easily not print and scan from the HP Smart App. Also, I am no longer seeing the error message pop up "HPxxxxxx.framework will damage your computer. " I hope this helps any of you who< like me, have been struggling with this for the past week.

No, in my experience, HP doesn't care about its customers, unless you're calling to buy new equipment! I tried to get support on this same issue and the automated system just summarily disconnected me. My only solution may be to buy a new printer but it won't be an HP - I'm done with them.

Hello Rjohna,
I'm not sure where you are with this problem, but be sure to follow the steps posted on message 86, then also read message 172. These steps have worked for many folks. When you search while in Finder on your Apple device I suggest you only input "framework", so it will bring up ANYTHING with the word framework in it. It appears many of us are getting a variety of pop up texts but most have "framework" shown. Follow all steps in order, and once you reach the point where you are downloading HP software and drivers, remember to click OK on the pop ups (as noted in message 172). If you don't click OK the download, installation process freezes/stops, then when you click OK it continues.
I hope this works for you, take your time, be as patient as you can. Good luck !!

I believe that this could be fixed by firmware update Certificate on your printer.
I will be testing it out saturday or sunday when I can log into my clients Mac Pro and uploading the printer firmware and certificate.
they have a envoy 4507
