TmBrown, I followed your suggestion:

"See my message 7 of 10 above in this thread. I deleted the file com.hp.devicemonitor.plist from my ~Library/LaunchAgents folder and the problem is gone now."

It did not get rid of the dialog box, but then, I rebooted and it was gone. My printer never stopped working so I did not have to deal with that issue. Thank you for the fix!

I have the very same issue and just about pulled my hair out trying to contact a human being at HP. Finally I figured it out—if you go to HP's virtual assistant chat, you can type in "Case ID" and then it will have a series of prompts to create a Case ID number for you. With that number, you can call (888) 747-8440 and *if and only if* you have a Case ID, you will get to speak with an agent. I am going to call later today and will report back if there is a solution.

In a previous reply, I noted how to successfully reach a human being through HP support. However, Apple support was able to solve this issue for me. We reinstalled my OS and uninstalled then reinstalled the printer. The whole thing took several hours to trouble shoot, so hopefully this message will save some time for someone! I

Hi there,

Hoping someone can help. I followed all the steps recommended and my printer is finally working but I still have the multiple pop up boxes every time I go to print.
What am I missing. I’m very grateful I can print school assignments for my son but the pop up boxes are driving me a little batty! Please help!!

Thanks!

1. Make sure the newest version of Mac OS is installed.

2. Uninstall your printer completely.

3. Reinstall the printer.

If you're still having trouble, call Apple support. They will help.
