Me too!!!   I can't even get a live person to answer the phone at HP.

Do you have any solutions yet?

Another wasted day!!

I finally got someone at Apple Support to take a good long look at it.  His assessment was that MacOS Catalina uses 128-bit technology, while my printer (Envy 110 Series, purchased 1/2013), probably uses 64-bit and is therefore no longer compatible (i.e., HP didn't bother to update the drivers to keep it compatible with Catalina). I wish they would just be transparent and tell the world what they are or are not supporting.

The best (and only) solution I found was a Canon TR8620 - prompt delivery,  easy install and good performance! HP —— fill in the blanks!

I finally called Apple.  Alfonso and I were on the phone for quite awhile.

He did a good job.

Unfortunately, I didn't take good notes. Basically, I think we downloaded and installed HP Easy Start -2, HP Easy Admin, and HP Easy Start 3.  After installation we deleted an HP file, but I didn't record the name.

Good luck!

I was getting all kinds of messages saying this and that will damage my computer and the printer won't print. I tried to reinstall but it is still not working.

I got the same message, and all of a sudden I could not scan from my computer but could still print.

I found a temporary workaround since reinstalling HP software and updating Catalina did not work:

On your printer click the scan icon on the right of its screen;

Click on Email icon;

Email scan item to your computer.

The alert does not go away, so move it to an unused section of your  computerscreen.

Hopefully HP or Apple will figure out what is causing this and repair it by free download

This discussion within the Apple community explains the problem - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251954320

HP has taken responsibility for this issue and sent out the following statement:

A HP Inc spokesperson told us on Friday night:

We unintentionally revoked credentials on some older versions of Mac drivers. This caused a temporary disruption for those customers and we are working with Apple to restore the drivers. In the meantime, we recommend users experiencing this problem to uninstall the HP driver and use the native AirPrint driver to print to their printer.

I have got AirPrint working so can now print but I cannot scan anything and still get error messages on my mac which I believe will continue until HP have fixed this problem.

HP folks - when will this problem be fixed?

I use a MacBook Air running 10.15.5  Unable (tried numerous times)to upgrade to 10.15.7. I did do the HP upgrade this (11-3)am. Went to HP site and entered new printer (old 5255). It took the apple few times to find the printer wirelessly but it  was successful. Received the view ready to print showing my 5255. Upon trying received message. printing stopped need companies software and may damage your computer. No better off than last week
