Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I was directed to US Repairs through the HP website.  I agreed to pay them money to help and for a 3 year support system.

They assured me they were approved by HP.  They spend 24 hours in my machine and didn't really fix the problem.

I tried to pay them with my Capitol One card and they declined the payment.  When I called Capitol One they told me this

company was a fraud. At first I felt bad because they had  I thought fixed my problem, but now not only is the problem not fixed, but I can't print from anything.

I feel this is a HP problem because I was directed to this company from the "legitimate"  HP site.  I have not paid them anything because Capitol One said they were a fraudulent company.  When I was talking to the guy he said I should go get some "gift cards"  which was a big red flag.  Now I don't know what to do.    Will HP stand by this problem and help me?

How are we to know that this is not a legitimate company if the HP website sends us there?

Thank you I appreciate any help I can get.

This is a common problem but the reality is usually that you were on a fake site that looked like the real HP site and a popup embedded in the site is what directed you to the scammers. HP invests a lot of time and money trying to shutdown these scam sites, but it is a giant game of whack-a-mole. I have escalated your post to the moderators and someone may contact you through this forum via private message to obtain some information from you.  If they spent this long in your computer I would also assume that they may have planted malware on your computer and you should check it with a program like malware bytes. Thankfully it sounds like they did not get any money from you.
