HP Installed a new driver that disables none genuine HP laser cartridges. All were working fine, now they are not. I've followed all the instructions for disabling the cartridge protection, but still doesn't work. Been using HP for over 20 years, very disappointed the company has sunk to this level. Will by a competitor's printer before I get strong armed into using HP genuine cartridges. That goes for my business as well. No coming back if I leave.
Need instructions that fix the problem or the previous driver
Don't want to hear about HP genuine provide the best performance either

Depending on what components were upgraded a downgrade is not a 100 percent guarantee fix. You need to find the old update executable file, open it with 7ZIP and extract the .ful2 file from it. Copy that file to a USB stick and then insert the stick into the usb slot on the printer. Most printers will recognize the presence of the file and prompt to upgrade/downgrade or you may need to reboot the printer to get it to happen.
No defense of HP, but EVERY vendor does their best to ensure customer's buy OEM cartridges.
