Hi @bhayward,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Setting a default of "Shrink to Fit" for all your screenshot images typically involves adjusting the settings of the software or application you use to take and save screenshots. The specific steps may vary depending on the platform and software you use, but I'll provide general instructions for popular platforms and tools.
Windows Snipping Tool.
- Open the Snipping Tool.
- Go to "Options" or "Settings" (the exact wording may differ depending on your Windows version).
- Look for the "Default mode" or "Default selection type" setting.
- Choose "Rectangular Snip" or "Free-form Snip" (whichever you prefer).
- There might be an option like "Always copy snips to the clipboard" that you can toggle for convenience.
Windows Snip & Sketch (Windows 10 and later).
- Press the "Windows key + Shift + S" to open the Snip & Sketch tool.
- Click on the ellipsis (three dots) in the top-right corner.
- Select "Settings."
- Under "Choose a snip mode," select either "Rectangular" or "Freeform" depending on your preference.
- Enable "Copy snips to clipboard" if you want to copy the screenshots automatically.
Mac OS X (macOS) Screenshot.
- Press "Command + Shift + 5" to open the screenshot toolbar.
- Click on "Options" (gear icon).
- Under "Save to," choose the appropriate location (Desktop, Documents, etc.).
- Set the "Options" to either "None" (to save screenshots directly to the selected location) or "Clipboard" (to copy the screenshot to the clipboard).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
