Hi @shevon2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Turn On the Printer:
- Make sure your printer is turned on and ready.
Open the HP Printer Software:
- Connect your printer to a computer and open the HP Printer software. You can download the HP Printer Assistant from the HP website if you don't have it installed.
Access Tools:
- In the HP Printer Assistant, go to the "Tools" tab.
Restore Factory Defaults:
- Click on "Restore Factory Defaults" or a similar option. Follow any prompts to confirm the reset.
Use the Control Panel (Alternative Method):
- If you prefer, you can use the buttons on the printer control panel:
- Step 1: Press and hold the Cancel button.
- Step 2: While holding the cancel button, press the Wi-Fi button and the Power button at the same time.
- Step 3: Continue to hold these buttons for about 3 seconds until the printer starts resetting.
Restart the Printer:
- After the reset is complete, restart your printer to ensure all settings are applied.
I hope this helps.
