I had a working HP 3030, using a back level PCL6 driver. Except, was getting 'pcl xl error illegalattributevalue' errors. I installed the latest version of PCL6 driver and printer (on USB port) is not seen at all by 'Add printer' process. In re-trying the process, I've ended up with a bunch of the PCL drivers (PCL5, back-level PCL6 and latest PCL6) all installed. And not printer recogniton no matter which one I select.
I'm wondering about unintalling ALL the drivers and starting over with the latest PCL6 driver. How do I do that?
Also, can someone turn me on to an HP link (or other site) to properly install the HP 3030 on a USB port, step-by-step, please?
Thank You in advance for your time and consideration...

Hello Marv,
HP Support website has step by step instructions on installation here's the link to it:

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for the speedy response, Waynetheshane.
I didn't find anything, anywhere on that page that would help with my query. I'm still looking fo a way to uninstall all the HP printer drivers. And, I'm looking for a correct sequence for installing that old HP3030, non plug-n-play, USB printer.
Another thing that is bugging me: I had downloaded and installed the latest driver. During the install, I said I had an install disc, properly pointed to the correct folder with the driver in it, but, I didn't know which was the correct .inf file to use (there are a bunch).
So, for me, it's back to scratching my head and wondering...
Thanks again.

Another path...Just open the file with Microsoft Edge and print. All my PCL XL errors disappeared once I discovered this.
I'm using UPD PCL 6 driver and DOT4 driver with LaserJet 3030 on Windows 10 64 bit. Adobe Reader DC does not work.

Waynetheshane,
I had already uninstalled everything under Programs and Features.

TwoCans,
I had tried Edge...and other browsers...and had the same problem.
My solution:
Works like a dream. Installed itself. And, as a bonus: two-sided printing and much, much faster!
