Hi @MJDodd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer settings!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 typically displays paper size in inches by default, but you can change the settings to millimeters (mm) in the printer preferences. Follow these steps:

Method 1: Change Paper Size Settings in Windows

  1. Open Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 → Click Printing Preferences.
  3. Go to the Paper/Quality tab.
  4. Click on Advanced.
  5. Look for Paper Size and select Custom.
  6. Set the dimensions in millimeters (mm).
  7. Click OK and Apply.

Method 2: Change Printer Language to Metric (if supported)

  1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings.
  2. Select Preferences or System Setup.
  3. Look for Units of Measurement (if available).
  4. Change from inches to millimeters (mm).
  5. Save the changes and restart the printer.

Method 3: Change Paper Size in HP Smart App

  1. Open HP Smart App on your computer.
  2. Click on your printer → Printer Settings.
  3. Look for Paper Size and change it to millimeters.

If your printer still does not display mm, you may need to manually input paper sizes in custom settings.

Let me know if you need further assistance! 😊
