I’ve had my deskjet 2540 for years and I recently bought a new laptop so that’s the only big change I’ve made. AirPrint, wireless, and wired connections are no longer working; I mainly use a wired connection to my laptop but noticed the others are not printing. I called the support line and the agent said it was because the color cartridge wasn’t an authentic HP cartridge, then he stated the printer isn’t the problem but my laptop is because it doesn’t recognize the usb connection. Lastly, after doing a couple more troubleshooting methods, he stated the printer is the problem because it’s older and not compatible with windows 11 (although my other laptop worked fine with it.)

Overall, he was inept and tried to sell me a $200 printer when he had no other methods. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should try, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
