Greetings @evvivame

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to complete the installation on your XP computer, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Are you able to make a copy on the printer?

Would it be possible for you to translate the error in English?

Recommend you uninstall all HP software on the computer.

Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it.

(Device manager can be accessed from the Control panel.)

Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.

Click on print server properties.

You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.

Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.

Restart the PC.

Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,

Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.

It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files, ignore them).

Restart your computer and install it back on your computer.

Power on or connect the printer over USB only when prompted by the setup.

If the issue persists, install the printer using an alternate driver. Click here

Keep me posted.

Thanks for the reply and trying the exact suggested procedure to uninstall and reinstall the printer and use the alternate driver.

Recommend you contact our phone support team for further assistance as they can try to take a remote of your computer and check.

Keep me posted. Good Luck.

Thanks for your answer !

Premise:

a) i use this printer rarely (1/2 times pro month)

b) the phone support from Italy can be  more expensive than the.... printer 🙂

Trick 🙂

I create a dual boot: default load = the actual XP (with special app)  ; alternative load :a fresch X: on  the latter the HP3636 setup run fine.

When i need print i load the fresch XP 😉

Best regards
