Greetings, I have a MFP M234sdw printer with a problem with its defaults. The print copy count always go back to 30 copies, 241% and the darkest possible. How do I reset these defaults to one copy, 100% and a lower darkness?
Thanks

@vikingone, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the defaults on your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw printer, you can follow these steps to change the default settings such as copy count, darkness, and scaling:
Access the Printer Control Panel:
- On the printer's touchscreen, go to the Home screen.
- Tap on the Copy option to enter the copy settings.
Adjust Copy Settings:
- For Copy Count: Set the number of copies to 1 (this is the default option).
- For Darkness: Tap on the Darkness or Lighter/Darker icon, and adjust the darkness slider to a lower setting.
- For Scaling (100%): Tap on the Resize or Scaling option and set it to 100%.
Set as Default:
- Once the settings are adjusted, go to the Options or More Options menu (depending on your printer model).
- Look for an option like Set as Default or Save as Default and select it.
Reset to Factory Defaults (Optional): If you're unable to make these changes permanent or the issue persists, you may need to reset the printer to its factory defaults:
- On the Home screen, tap the Settings icon (gear).
- Select Printer Maintenance or Restore.
- Choose Restore Factory Defaults or Restore All Settings (this option may vary).
- Confirm the reset, and the printer will return to its default settings.
After completing these steps, the printer should use your desired settings (1 copy, 100%, lower darkness) as the default for future copies.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Greetings, I think i figured it out, we will see if it continues to behave. But the instructions that you gave me do not apply to this particular printer, i don't have all these options on the little screen on this printer. It would be nice if your reply more closely aligned with my particular printer.
Thanks
