Microsoft Windows 11

I have the device linked on the application but when I sign into my account it says I have no printers, it will not allow me to log into my account on the printer and other users in our house are having issues connecting. This is the third printer I'm having the similar issue with because I returned the last two due to this exact issue.

Hi @Uutes,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like a frustrating situation with your HP printer and account. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue where your printer is not recognized in your HP account, especially if other users in your household are also experiencing connection issues:

1. Verify HP Account

  • Ensure you’re logging into the correct HP account that you used to register the printer. If you have multiple accounts, this could cause confusion.

2. Re-link the Printer

  • Open the HP Smart App and remove the printer from the app.
  • Try to re-add the printer by selecting the “Add Printer” option. Ensure you are signed in to your HP account while doing this.

3. Check Printer Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Network settings and make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device or computer.

4. Update HP Smart App

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart App installed on your device.

5. Sign Out and Sign Back In

  • Sign out of your HP account in the app and then sign back in. This can refresh the connection between the app and your account.

6. Reset the Printer

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to do this, but keep in mind that it will clear all settings.

7. Clear Cache (for Mobile Devices)

  • If you’re using a mobile device, try clearing the cache of the HP Smart App:
    • For Android: Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage > Clear Cache.
    • For iOS: You may need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

8. Check Network Settings

  • Ensure that your router settings are not blocking the printer. Sometimes security settings can prevent devices from communicating.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
