Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There was no option to choose a problem with my HP computer. But for some reason after my effort to try to set up my printer and connect it to my wireless network -then my  Firefox browser stopped working and i lost my normal connection for FULL access to my computer. This is so frustrating ...perhaps I was trying too hard to figure it all out.

I recommend you enter the PIN to log in to your computer. If you do not remember the PIN then you can use the password of your Microsoft account to log in.

  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Good afternoon The_Fossette (HP Support Employee)

Thannk-you for your reply.  I appreciate you assistance to try your best to fix my issue.

Answers to your questions below :

  • What is the exact model for your computer? - ANSWER:HP Pavilion All-in-one Computer 24-r0xx
  •
  • What is the operating system you are using?-  ANSWER: Windows 10 64 bit OS
  •
  • What is the exact issue you are facing? - A long ANSWER: I lost full access to my windows after having issues setting up and installing my new HP 2700 All-in-one Series Printer (my model is HP DeskJet 2755) (Printer/Scanner). I had to install HP SMART 2755 to install my printer. I could only get so far and the installation stopped .. my daughter ordered a USB for me and I attached it to the printer and my computer and I had success adding my printer to my wireless network. So - I am thankful that I can now print from my computer. I have to figure out how to scan next documents to my computer once I have access to my windows again.  See MESSAGE1 & MESSAGE2 Below that I receive when tring to gain access to my desktop (where a lot of my files are saved).
  • MESSAGE1: You've been signed in with a temporary profile. You can't access your files, and files created in this profile will be deleted when you sign out. To fix this, sign out and try signing in later. Please see the event log for more details or contact your system administrator.
  • MESSAGE2: Your Administrator or Organization has set your device's Windows Diagnostic Data setting t : Required.
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer? ANSWER:  I installed the printer (HP SMART download) That is all I can think of.
  •
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting? ANSWER: I tried to figure out what was going on by logging in and out and restarting my comuter - I didn't really do any trouble shooting because I wouldn't want to make things worse.

My sincere thanks in advance for trying to find out how to give me FULL access to my computer.

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Family Day!

Regards, Stay Safe.

Thank you for the detailed information.

Do you use a Microsoft account to login into your computer? (Like you email)

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.

Refer to the below article for detailed steps.

Thank-you for your reply, The_Fossette.

I do have a Microsoft account! I don't have to login to my computer every day ...it is set up to automatically open in Windows. I am prompted to enter a Security PIN #.  Perhaps I need to contact Microsoft for assistance ... I need my computer workig properly.

Thank-you for providing a site with detailed steps where I can restore my computer. However, I am really not comfortable trying to restore my computer on my own. I do not want to make things worse. I probably need Technical assistance.

If you can offer further advice, that would be greatly appreciated.

MadonnaT

Thank-you The_Fossette. Not sure if I replied to your response or not.

I have tried a PIN number but I still am still only have temporary access to my computer.

I may have to call Microsoft to have them check if they can help me on their end.

Thanks for your kind assistance,

You're welcome! As I informed you earlier you can use your Microsoft account password to login into your computer and you should be able to access your profile.

If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.

Thank-you for letting me know!

I contacted Microsoft regarding my Windows login issue. They decided to reset my computer.  It is working ...my desktop was recovered. I am finding my way around Microsoft Edge - it is a different browser.  Eventually I will figure it out. It's different than FireFox.

I appreciate all of your assistance.  God bless - take care & stay safe.
