Hi!
I have had a troble to install a new printer.
When I connected it to my laptop for the first time, there were two messages on the right bottom part of my laptop screen:
"IPP Printer failed," and "HPHP LaserJet MFP M227-M231 failed."
Those two failures have not fixed yet.
Then I am still doing "HP easy start" but there is still lingering message, "we are searching for the software for this product"-I don't know it is well translated in English. I cannot go further step after this message.
What should I do? So desperate... .

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting a driver installation error, I am glad to assist you.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install the printer using HP full feature driver
Click here to download the driver.
Keep me posted.
If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Hi.
Thank you for your reply.
Lazada refused to refund and just turn it back to me without any apology.
Anyway, I have no way to get full refund, so I am asking you solve another problem.
Today I could download the installation program from HP webpage-thank god, eventually!
However, the USB installation has failed again and again.
I tried to install in other ways as directed in HP virtual advisor, but failed.
The error message is like this:
"The printer is not connected." (This message is on and off)
"HPHP Laserjet MFP M227-M231 failed." (It popped up before this time)
They all have a red tilted cross.
I wish I could put the video or the photo of the error message.
In this case, what should I do?
My computer's OS is window 7.
Regards,
HJ Jang
P.S. I've been looking for the solution through my computer, and there are two more messages.
"There is no IPP printer driver."
"There is no HPHP Laserjet MFP M227-M231 driver."

The IPP driver means that initially it tried to install a Microsoft driver because it did not find an HP driver. Follow the instructions here to completely remove all traces of the printer from Windows and then reinstall, making sure to not connect the printer to the computer until prompted by the installation program.
