Can anyone walk me through how to set up the printer on my iMac. I've done it successfully on my iPhone but the installation app doesn't download on to my computer.

I see that you want to install the printer on your iMac if you're trying to use the HP Smart App, refer to the document  Install and Use the HP Smart App (Mac) for help. Use this link https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hp-smart/id1474276998 to download and install the App.

 

If you have issues with the download, do help me with the exact error for further assistance.

 

Also, you can try adding the printer using the full-featured software. Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.
