I can no longer connect my iPhone 15 to my HP ENVY 5000 printer. Is the HP SMART APP not compatible with IOS 18?

As of now, the HP Smart app is compatible with iOS 18. However, if you're having trouble connecting your iPhone 15 to your HP ENVY 5000 printer, here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

1. Update the HP Smart App

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed. Check the App Store for any available updates.

2. Restart Your Devices

  • Restart both your iPhone and your printer. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

3. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure that your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. If the printer is connected to a different network or using a guest network, it won't be able to connect.

4. Re-add the Printer

  • Open the HP Smart app and try removing and re-adding your printer:
    • Tap on the Printer icon.
    • Select Add Printer and follow the prompts to add your HP ENVY 5000.

5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Check if your printer has any available firmware updates. You can usually do this through the HP Smart app or the printer's settings.

6. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • If you're still having issues, consider resetting the network settings on the printer:
    • Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to reset network settings.

Issues here too since ios 18. Can no longer log in when I need to change a setting via HP Smart

I am also having the same issue I just updated my phone to the new IOS 18 1.1 and can no longer connect to my printer.. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips including a hard restart for both phone and printer. Reconnecting the wireless network to both phone and printer and still unable to print… my husbands phone (which was not updated) prints totally fine. Very frustrating.

 

our printer is an HP Envy 4522
