Help
I 've spent hours on this and still no luck.
I had new internet service installed, the latest from Verizon , their 5G service. Now my printer and computer are not talking. I show and verified with Verizon, after an hour on the call, that the connections are solid . WIFI is good, nothing is preventing this part of the process from working.
Printer is connected to the network. Computer is connected to the network. Disabled firewalls to ensure download of new drivers etc, still not able to use the device. I completed all the trouble shooting available through the HP websites, multiple times I might add.
Prior to the change in internet service, I had no issues at all with the Officejet Pro 8610.
Is this a software problem? Is there a patch available? What to do guys?

Hi,
make sure the network have 2.4GHz wireless enabled too, with a unique SSID and not an identical one for both bands, the printer supports 2.4GHz wireless only and not 5GHz.
If both bands are enabled and the PC is connected to the 5GHz band, the device may not communicate properly through the network with the printer which is connected to the 2.4GHz, therefore it may be crucial to have a unique SSID for both bands

Thanks for your reply.
I talked with Verizon tech support, the printer is connected to the 2.4 GHz band, the computer was too.
Now the computer is at 5G and the printer is at 2.4 G . I'll try switching back to 2.4G on the computer. ? Maybe? But I am not getting my hopes up at this point.

Please try connecting the PC to the 2.4GHz too and check.
If it still doesn't print, is the printer configured on this PC? what exact print queues are shown under Devices and Printers?

Yes printer is showing as being the default device, both are connected to 2G band. I am on hold with Verizon tech support again since you mentioned obtaining 2 SSID .
I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer and drivers, disconnected power from all lines and rebooted several times.
Talking with Verizon now and they are going to trouble shoot from their end, i'm not too confident at this point.

You're much welcome @Wicker_2020, great to see your printer is not up and running back again!
Cheers,
Shlomi
