@Lozfromoz, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Reinstall your printer drivers:

Uninstall all HP printer software from your PC.

Download the Windows 10 driver for your printer from HP’s website.

When installing, right-click the installer → Properties → Compatibility → set it to Windows 8 or 7 mode → Run as administrator.

Check Windows scanning services:

Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter.

Find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) and make sure it’s Running and set to Automatic startup.

Also check Print Spooler is running.

Try scanning from Control Panel:

Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.

Right-click your HP printer → Select Start scan.

This sometimes works when apps don’t.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
