Hey there. I have a bunch of roommates and administrating the printer costs is quite challenging. To simplify things, i want to setup the job accounting. i found

But I am struggling with the setup. I cant find the same settings as described in the documentation. Setting up user accounts on the ews does not help yet - i still can print as a guest although it should not be allowed.

Question:

I want to setup user job accounting with the HP EWS. I cant find any documentation on the issue that works for me. Can anybody help me here?

The SJA works with more advanced printers that support HP Futuresmart 4 firmware, the HP CLJ M479 is entry-level printer and doesn't support Futuresmart 4 firmware and SJA

@Valsimot is correct. HP does make a version of the M479 with all the advanced features called the E47528. It is only available through select MPS partners and does cost more than the 479.

PaperCut used to have a free version of their accounting software for small installations like this, you might want to check them out.
