macOS 10.15 Catalina

No error messages show on printer or on computer, but the print jobs just sit in a queue on the computer and don't seem to be sent to the LaserJet. I wonder if there is a compatibility issue with Catalonia and the LaserJet cp1515n; it is now 10 years old.

It used to work perfectly until the latest update to Catalonia 10.15.7

To solve the problem, go the answer from, BryanCustomPure.

What I had to do was to

a) disable all aspects of the Avast Virus checker etc., otherwise it aborts the installation or even the download

b) delete the printer from "Printers and Scanners"

c) install the link from the answer in the post from BryanCustomPure, or as below:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

d) install the "HPPrintersDrivers5.1dmg" from HP downloads

e) go to printers and scanners, add the printer

f) re-instate the virus checker

g) hopefully it works, it did for me, many thanks to BryanCustomPure.
