Hello, somehow my M148fdw printer got switched to IT managed and a password was set. I have no idea what the password is, but the printer is requiring it to access pretty much any menu.  Is there a way to reset the password and change the printer back to self managed?

Try and see if it helps.

To restore your HP printer to factory-default settings, follow these steps.
  1. Turn the printer off. Disconnect the power cable from the printer for 30 seconds and then reconnect.
  2. Turn the printer on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on.
  3. Release the Resume button.

This printer doesn’t have a “resume” button.  Are you perhaps referring to the “OK” button?
