M608 Printer has error in message center and all print jobs ask to load tray 1

New M608 printer using PS driver (Required) every print job pauses with display asking to load tray 1 Card Stock. Jobs are letter, driver settings are for letter Tray 1 and Tray 2. Web interface shows error in message center but no way to clear that....Print Status show OUT OF PAPER...I do NOT want paper hanging out of in tray 1 How do I get this to print from Tray 2 and how do I clear the error from Message Center. Why is there a message and no way to clear it ?why would HP EVER have a printer configured to use Tray 1 by default  and not the Tray 2 500 sheet bin ?

If the printer is prompting for Card stock, something in the driver or program is requesting that. The printer only prints what it is told to. Try this, set the paper settings on tray 2 to cardstock and try to print. If it works without requiring input from user then you know that the driver or program is the problem. It could be an incompatibility of drivers, you do not state what driver you are using so cannot rule that out.
