Working to update the software due to the Catalina issue. Following the instructions to remove existing drivers using HP uninstaller (instructions here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06960563). Shows about 1/3 removed, then just stops. Tried re-doing - get same result.
Also get message a critical firmware update is needed. Get "We were unable to find drivers for your product."
Does this mean my printer is destined for the electronic recycling bin?

Hi @barrys2,
I'd like to help!
May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer for macOS 10.15 are not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps!
