I have recently rebuilt my Windows 10 PC software-wise, from the operating system up. I have downloaded and re-installed the HP printer software for my Envy 5546 and it's working fine as far as scanning and printing is concerned. However, I have created a desktop icon to load the scanner software for convenience but the PC has decided that I have two scanners installed. One is called HP ENVY 5540 series (NET) and the other HP ENVY 5540 series (NET) #2 with a pop up menu asking me to select one when I click on the icon. If I select (NET), I get an error message saying "Unable to Communicate with the Scanner". If I select (NET) #2, everything works.
Can somebody please tell me how to uninstall the (NET) scanner?
I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the complete HP software package, without success.
Regards and TIA
Phil
