Hi @Blueheronsr8,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is showing an error that the drivers are unavailable, here's what you can do to resolve the issue:
1. Reinstall Printer Drivers:
Download Drivers: Visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Ensure you download the drivers compatible with your operating system.
Install Drivers: Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers on your computer.
2. Use Windows Update:
Search for Updates: Open the Settings app on your computer and navigate to Update & Security.
Check for Updates: Click on Check for updates to search for any available updates for your system, including printer drivers.
3. Remove and Re-add Printer:
Remove Printer: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Select your HP printer and click Remove device.
Re-add Printer: Click on Add a printer or scanner and follow the on-screen instructions to re-add your HP printer.
4. Use HP Smart App (Optional):
Download HP Smart App: You can also download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
Set Up Printer: Follow the instructions in the app to set up and manage your printer. It may automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
5. Check Printer Connection:
Verify Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network connection, depending on your setup.
Restart Devices: Restart both your computer and printer to refresh the connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
