Hi @tbird001,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can help you with some general steps to try and unlock your HP Officejet Pro 8028e. Please note that the specific steps may vary, so refer to your printer's manual for detailed instructions. Here's a general guide.
Reset the Printer:
- Locate the reset button on your printer (usually on the back or bottom).
- Use a small, pointed object like a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for about 5 seconds.
Default Credentials:
- Check if your printer has default login credentials. These are often found in the user manual or on the printer itself.
- Common default usernames include "admin" or "administrator," and the default password may be blank or set to "admin."
Connect via USB:
- If you're having trouble with Wi-Fi setup, consider connecting your printer to your computer using a USB cable.
- Once connected, you might be able to access the printer settings through your computer to change the Wi-Fi configuration.
Remember to refer to your printer's manual for model-specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I am so sorry but I have not been able to unlock my printer. I looked on both the back and bottom and cannot find a reset button. I also tried your suggestions for the user id and password with no luck. I don't know what else to do.
