@Eiduj, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP DeskJet 2700 series printer's power button continues to blink after resolving a paper jam, and you're having trouble connecting it to Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
1. Check the Ink Cartridge Door
Ensure the ink cartridge door is properly closed. The power light may blink if the door is open.
2. Reset the Printer
Perform a reset to clear any existing error states:
- With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
3. Check for Additional Paper Jam
Ensure there are no remaining paper jams. Open all printer doors and carefully inspect for any scraps of paper.
4. Re-establish Wireless Connection
To connect your printer to a wireless network, utilize the HP Smart app or Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS):
Using HP Smart:
- Download and install HP Smart from 123.hp.com.
- Place the printer near the router.
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons for three seconds.
- Open the HP Smart app and add your printer.
Using WPS:
- Ensure your router supports WPS.
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for three seconds.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
5. Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
6. Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
