Hi @Bob081959,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To perform a total reset on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8625 printer, follow these steps.
Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer. Wait for it to fully power down.
Unplug the Printer:
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Wait:
- Leave the printer unplugged for about 60 seconds. This allows any residual power to drain and can help reset the internal components.
Reconnect and Power On:
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and then into the electrical outlet.
- Turn the printer back on by pressing the power button.
Perform a Factory Reset (if needed):
- If you want to perform a factory reset through the printer's menu:
- From the printer's control panel, go to the Setup menu.
- Select Printer Maintenance or Tools (depending on your model).
- Choose Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.
- Confirm the reset if prompted.
Reconfigure the Printer:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer again, including connecting to Wi-Fi and reinstalling any necessary print cartridges.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
