I have lost me CD for this printer.  When I go to the web site and download the aviable drivers, they don't allow me to  automatically duplex - I have to do it mannually.  I could automatically duplex with the software from the CD.

When I click on acquire the software on the web site it says it is not avaiable.

I'm looking for where I can get the driver that will allow me to automatically duplex.

The driver that you have already installed from the web should be sufficient.

The 'automatic discovery' feature used by some drivers on installation (or update) doesn't always work; ensure that the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that one is):

  • For the printer instance in question, bring up the Printer properties dialogue.
  • Select the Device settings tab.
  • Ensure that the duplex unit is set to Installed rather than Not installed.

You'll probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the device settings.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

This link is to the software and drivers page for Win10 64-bit for your printer: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=7527721&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4192

Under Order Physical Media, there are two different CDs listed -- order the one that best fits your needs.

Good Luck

Thank you for your response.  However, when I click on Order Physical Media and click on the item I want,  it puts me into an infenate loop.  I never get to a place where I can actually order the CD.

Then ... I would suggest that you contact HP Customer Support to order the CD from them.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

However, HP Customer Support is generally not available on the weekends, so you might have to wait until Tuesday to contact them.  Monday is a holiday for many companies.

Thank you - that took care of it.
