The Embedded Web Server is asking for a username and password. Hp Utility and HP Smart are asking me for custom password without a username. Pressing cancel and wifi buttons concurrently did not work.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, try holding wireless and cancel button of 3 secs and release it to restore network settings and reconnect the printer this should fix the issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

This does not solve the issue, the setup wizard is asking for the Custom Password setup for the Printer not the Wi-Fi Network. We are trying to find a way to recover our customer password to connect to the Printer or to do a reset to erase the previously forgotten password.

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try these steps -
- 1) Connect the printer using the Wireless Direct. Please refer to page#59 from here for steps.
- 2) Open the browser and in the address or the URL bar type this - 192.168.223.1 to launch the EWS or the printer's page.
- 3) Go to the network tab > Wireless (802.11) and click on the Wireless Setup Wizard.
Once the printer is connected, the Wi-Fi LED on the printer will become solid.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
