@MartyOrlando, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, and congrats on your new HP Color LaserJet MFP 3301! 🎉 That’s a great choice, and I totally get how frustrating it can be when your prints aren’t coming out in color (especially when you know you selected it!).

Let’s get this sorted out together. Here are a few quick things to check:

Driver Check: Make sure you’ve installed the full-feature HP driver/software package for your printer, not just the basic driver. You can grab the latest version from HP official support site.

Printer Settings:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Under the Color tab, make sure "Print in Grayscale" is unchecked.
  • Also, double-check that Color is selected instead of Black & White.

App Settings: Sometimes the app you're printing from (like Word or Adobe Reader) has its own print settings. Make sure color is selected there too.

Firmware Update: It’s a good idea to check if your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel. HP Smart

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
