Hi @Muelleder
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you want to downgrade your printer firmware. I am glad to assist you.
Most recent hp printers do not allow firmware downgrade. They have built-in code that checks the version of the download and will not accept any firmware that is earlier than the current version.
You can find your printer software and driver updates here:
For more information you may also contact HP phone support.

Hi Raj,
When I bought my printer many years ago, there was no information that I would be obliged to use HP cartridges. The recycled cartridges I used worked very will unit HP uploaded the firmware update in 2022 (FDP1CN2022AR) on my printer.
Therefor I simply need a firmware version, which allows me to use recycled cartridges and an information how to downgrade my printer.
You suggested to upload the latest firmware from the HP website ... Would I then be able to use recycled cartridges when using this new firmware?
Thanks for your reply
Franz

Hi @Muelleder
Thank you for replying.
We recommend using genuine HP inks.
HP Original HP Ink Cartridges are designed to deliver the quality you expect, meet the sustainability standards the planet deserves, and with built-in security you can trust.
You can use HP instant ink smart way to print : Click here.
Note: Using a generic or refilled ink cartridge won't automatically void your warranty, but it's important to note that any damage caused specifically from using a non-HP ink product won't be covered by the warranty for your HP printer.
