Printer keep freezing on ALL the screens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I can only get to the "cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in instant ink" (WHICH IT WAS). When I hit hide it gets stuck at the aligning print cartridges but does nothing.  I try to shut it down. It does nothing.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, unplugged, restarted the wifi. . . I've done it all. I can't get it to go to the home screen to sign in to the network.

I HAVE an instant ink account that JUST said we were good to go. Then the printer shut down on me and started all over again. But if I can't get the printer online (wireless) then instant ink cannot talk to the printer.

I HAVE WEDDING INVITATIONS TO PRINT! Help!!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's remove and add web services:

To remove Web Services using the printer control panel 1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, touch ( HP ePrint ), and then touch (Web Services Settings). 2. Touch Remove Web Services.

To set up Web Services using the printer control panel 1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Web Services Setup . 3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services. 4. On the screen that appears, touch OK to allow the printer to automatically check for product updates.

NOTE: If prompted for proxy settings and if your network uses proxy settings, follow the onscreen instructions to set up a proxy server. If you do not have the proxy details, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the network.

5. If the Printer Update Options screen is displayed, select one of the options. 6. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.

Let me know if this helps.

The HP Support person's suggestion wont work because the screen is STUCK on the 'printing the alignment page' --there is no option to do anything.

I have the exact, same issue --been fighting it for 2 months and my printer literally JUST came out of warranty after it happened.

Looks like a firmware update broke it, after I re-enrolled in the ink program.

I can power it off by unplugging, but when it comes back on it tells me I can't print until the ink is registered (already registered a few months ago) and then it tells me it needs to align and then it gets stuck again.

There's paper in the machine, and full ink cartridges. This machine has barly been used, less than 30 pages.

Very frustrating, especially after it made me re-register a new credit card to use the ink i already paid for before it stopped working.

HP Officejet pro 9018 printer. How do I get out of this loop I'm in. I did reregister for instant ink program yet the problem persists.  can you help get back to my home screen so that I can reset to factory settings.
