Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9020

Yesterday I purchased the OfficeJet Pro 9020 and I can't seem to get the output tray to extend far enough to receive an A4 piece of paper so that it remains flat and not on an angle.

You are probably doing something wrong, did you pull it out all the way?

It won't come out automatically. You have to pull it out yourself as mentioned on page 25 of the User Guide.

Yes I have definitely pulled it out all the way that it will go.

I see that someone had the same problem last year and could not solve it???

Thank you but I have pulled it out as far as it goes and it does not fit an A4 piece of paper.

 

Definitely a design flaw.

 

I have removed the output tray, turned it over to examine it and there is no way it can extend any further. Is this something HP has recognised and is now sending out replacement output trays on the 9020 to those that request it?

I have the same problem. I am afraid I will break the output tray pulling it harder. I can't find a tab or anything to release the extension. Can someone provide true help?
