I am looking for a place to get a printer profile for my HP Envy 6010. When I try to assign a print profile in Adobe Photoshop, my printer is not showing in the drop down list of available print profiles. The printer is recognised by adobe photoshop as it will print but the colours are all over the place. At the moment, I am thinking of ditching the printer as it is useless if it will not print true colours. Any help gratefully accepted. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP support community.
Could you elaborate on the issue for better understanding?
Did you try to print from a different application and check if that prints fine?

I am not too sure whether your reply was meant for me, I have asked a question and you have replied "I am an HP employee". That really does not help me find out where to download printer profiles for my HP ENVY 6010.

When I had a Canon printer, I could go onto the Canon web site and download the printer profiles for my printer. This enabled me to assign the profile of my printer to my file before printing which ensured that the colour management knew what my printer was. Now and ever since I have tried to print anything in colour with this HP Envy 6010, the colours are not true to what I am seeing on my monitor. I have calibrated my monitor screen with a Datacolor Spyder 5 calibrating tool so I know my monitor colours are true. The trouble is that photoshop cannot read what my printer colour management is with out a set of printer profiles that are relating to my printer model. I cannot believe that as an employee of HP, that you have no idea what I am going on about. It was explained straight away in my first post. Do you know what printer profiles are ? I am trying not to be rude but I am thinking that maybe you are not knowing enough about colour management as you clearly have not got a clue as to what I am asking for. Have you a telephone number so I can talk to somebody that has colour management and printing profiles knowledge. You get different profiles for different photo paper, different printers etc etc. If I send prints away to be printed, I download a profile given to me from the print company which is the correct print profile for the printer that they are using to print my prints. Do you understand this ???????????

Did you try these steps to create a custom profile?
-
Select File, then Print with Preview. (Photoshop 6 and prior: select File, then Print.)
-
Select the Show More Options check box, and Color Management from the drop-down menu.
-
In the Profile menu, select Same as Source.
The printer driver must also be configured to properly use custom profiles. Use the steps below to configure the printer driver.
-
Select File, Print, and then Properties, Color.
-
Select Managed by application from the Color management menu.
-
Click on the Paper/Quality tab and select the appropriate paper type from the Type is menu.
- Click OK, and then OK again to print.
Refer to this HP document for further assistance:- Click here
If that issue still persists, this might require one on one interaction:
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Keep me posted.
If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
