@HKoester, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're able to print reports from the HP Smart app, but PDF files won't print directly from your computer. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this issue.

Check Default Printer

Make sure your HP ENVY 6055e is set as the default printer:

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer and click Set as default.

Update or Reinstall Adobe Reader

If you're using Adobe Acrobat Reader to open PDFs:

  • Ensure it's updated: Open Adobe Reader > Help > Check for Updates.
  • Or reinstall it from Adobe's official site.

Try Printing from Another App

Try opening the PDF in a different app like:

  • Microsoft Edge (right-click the PDF > Open with > Microsoft Edge)
  • HP Smart app (if not already tried) HP Smart

If it prints from another app, the issue is likely with the original PDF viewer.

Update Printer Drivers

Outdated drivers can cause printing issues:

  • Visit the HP Support page
  • Download and install the latest Full Feature Software and Drivers for Windows 11.

Check Print Spooler Service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click > Restart.
  • Make sure its Startup Type is set to Automatic

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
