I want to change from a USB connection to a wireless connection. Please explain how.

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you have configured the printer over USB and want to convert it to wireless, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Have you installed the full feature software for the printer?
Are you using a dual band router?
Note: HP Printers do not work or connect to 5Ghz networks. If you are using a dual band router, please give different names to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks and connect the printer to the 2.4Ghz network.
If you have installed the full feature software on your computer.
Open the printer assistant on your computer. (Icon of the printer on your desktop.)
- Select (click or touch) Utilities on the top of the Printer Software screen
- Select Printer Setup & Software
- Select Convert a USB connected printer to Wireless
Refer to this HP Article for assistance. (Windows 8 is mentioned in the article but works the same way on Windows 10 as well.)
