Greetings, the printer freezes during start up. I worked with tech support by phone, we tried unplugging and defusing the internal power supply by holding the power button down for 30 seconds, plugging back in, and during start up, the status bar lights up all the way across, then it stops. The very helpful tech said it was the motherboard that needed to be replaced and that it would be cheaper to buy a new one. Question please: Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone replaced a motherboard on their printer to solve this problem? If so, where would I purchase a motherboard and how would I learn how to replace it?
I'd appreciate any information or recommendations, thanks.

Welcome to the HP support community.
The motherboard is not a replaceable part in this printer model.
However, I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Greetings,
I already talked with tech support to determine the problem, and there is nothing they can do except sell me a new printer.
I already have a case number. I understand the motherboard is not replaceable or repairable which I find frustrating.
The problem has been solved by replacing the printer. The next questions is why would I invest in another HP Envy Photo 7155 or any other similar model. It only lasted 2 years.
Thank you for your reply.
Best,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
