My printer will not connect to the instant ink subscription service, and i am just trying to get something figured out. This seems to be the only way to get any customer support within the organization and I am tired of dealing with this overcomplicated process in getting my printer to be functional.

@KGeise, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Printer's Internet Connection

On the printer's control panel (or via HP Smart app), go to:

Wireless Settings > Network Configuration / Status

Confirm that the printer is connected to Wi-Fi and shows an IP address.

If not:

Reconnect using the HP Smart app:

Open HP Smart > Add Printer > Set up new printer

Sign into HP Smart Account (This Is Required for Instant Ink)

Go to https://hpinstantink.com and log in.

If your printer isn’t listed, click “Add a Printer”.

Make sure your HP account is the one registered to Instant Ink.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
