Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2634 is being a bit tricky with the Wi-Fi setup! It can be frustrating when it doesn’t show up on your network. Here are a few things you can try:
Reset Network Settings: Since you’ve tried resetting with the X button, make sure you also try holding the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button together for about 5 seconds. This will reset the network settings completely.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- After resetting, go to the printer's control panel.
- Press the Wi-Fi button to enter setup mode and choose your Wi-Fi network again.
Use the HP Smart App: Download the HP Smart app on your phone or computer. It can guide you through the setup process and help find the printer on your network.
Check Your Router: Ensure that your router is functioning properly. Sometimes, a simple restart of the router can help.
Proximity: Make sure the printer is close to the router during setup. Sometimes, distance can cause connection issues.
If you’ve tried all this and it’s still not working, it might be worth checking if there are any firmware updates available for the printer through this link

Hi Raj
All the steps that are suggested on the HP set up and further been on google to see what the issue is. Is it due to the drivers not supporting the latest version of the mac OS system? Seesm can't download past 13.0 on MacOS and I am using verion 15.0 I am going to dispose of the printer.

Hi @printerissue180,
Welcome to the HP support community.
Thank you for your reply, Please try these steps :
Many HP printers can use AirPrint to print without a driver when the printer and the Mac are connected to the same local network.
In macOS X 10.9 and newer, HP printers added to the Printers & Scanners list will use AirPrint by default.
Add the HP printer with AirPrint to the Printers & Scanners list
To print using AirPrint, add the HP printer to the Printers & Scanners list using a USB, wired network, or wireless network connection.
Note:
AirPrint also provides basic fax (F) or scan (S) capability in macOS X 10.10 and newer.
Make sure you have an AirPrint-capable printer.
Turn on the printer and make sure that it is in a Ready state.
Make sure that the printer is connected via USB, a wired network, or a wireless network.
Open the Apple menu (), and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners, and if the printer is already listed, select the printer name, and then click the Remove printer icon () at the bottom of the list to remove the printer.
Click the Add printer icon (), and then click the name of the printer in the list.
Note:
Make sure that the printer Kind is "Bonjour," "Bonjour Multifunction," or "USB."
Printer Kind is "Bonjour"
In the Use drop-down list, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint.
Select "Secure AirPrint" or "AirPrint" in the Use drop-down list
Click Add.
If prompted to install any printer software, click Install, and then follow the instructions to complete the installation.
If prompted, type your administrator account name and password.
This will add AirPrint as the default print queue when printing to the HP printer.
Add the HP printer driver to the Printers & Scanners list
To add advanced features (HP Easy Color, HP Easy Scan, custom paper sizes, job storage, folder or stapler finishing, watermark, etc.), download the HP Easy Start utility.
Go to 123.hp.com.
Download the HP Easy Start utility.
Launch the app, select the printer, and then let the utility automatically install the driver(s) and add the printer to the Printers & Scanners list.
In the Use drop-down list, select the HP printer driver, and then select the preferred advanced feature options.
Select the HP printer in the Use drop-down list
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for your reply,
HP printer supports 2.4GHz Wireless, PLease ceck if you using 2 Ghz or 5 GHz.
5GHz is relatively new - many phones, new computers, and other devices (even some new printers) now support this speed. Less expensive printers may not support the 5GHz bandwidth regardless of their age.
What to do?
You need to log into that router,
Find out whether it supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz,
If the router supports both,
- Adjust the router settings to broadcast on both 5GHz AND the 2.4GHz bandwidth.
- Give the 2.4GHz bandwidth a different SSID name.
For example, if your 5GHz network is named MyFancy5GHzNetwork, name the 2.4 network SSID as MyFancy24GHzNetwork.
Both networks can be assigned the same Passphrase (Wireless password) used to connect to the network.
If you don't understand what that means,
and / or
You cannot log into your router, then
Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP), tell them you need to have both 5GHz AND 2.4GHz bandwidth broadcast, and ask for help.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
