My printer has disappeared from he HP Support app. I called yesterday and the tech walked me through setting the problem right. Today the printer has disappeared again. I performed everything i did yesterday and nothing happened.

I cannot speak to anyone as the support link doesn't work either.  I cannot sign in either.

If HP is working  on a software they should post a statement to that effect on the app. Don't just leave your customers in the lurch. After all your salaries come out of our pocket.

Hi @chiefnet,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is not visible on the HP Support Assistant, there could be several reasons behind it. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

  • Check the printer connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a USB printer, make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. If it's a network printer, ensure that it is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Restart the printer and computer: Sometimes, restarting both the printer and the computer can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few seconds, and then plug it back in. Restart your computer as well.
  • Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can prevent the printer from being recognized by the HP Support Assistant. Visit the HP website and search for your printer model to find and download the latest drivers. Install the drivers on your computer and then check if the printer is detected.
  • Disable firewall or antivirus: In some cases, the firewall or antivirus software on your computer may block the communication between the printer and the HP Support Assistant. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and check if the printer becomes visible. If it does, you may need to configure the settings of your security software to allow printer communication.
  • Reinstall HP Support Assistant: If the above steps don't work, try reinstalling the HP Support Assistant. Uninstall the current version of the software from your computer, download the latest version from the HP website, and install it again. After reinstalling, check if the printer appears in the list.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
