Second hand printer. Factory reset. Connected via hpsmart. All good until prompted to finish setup. I get:

Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0410

"Support" chat pushed for me to create a **bleep** email account and sign up with that instead of my existing Yahoo email account I had used to sign up. The change in email made no difference. They then told me to create a third email account with a different provider to try that. I declined. They then insisted the problem was my phone not communicating with the printer. I explained they're on the same (only) wifi network in the house. In the same room. And my phone has no problem connecting, if I try to print it get a message on the printer screen stating a problem with my hp account is preventing printing. They then told me they would send me a "privacy link" to follow to delete my hp accounts, then I would have to wait 5 days before recreating my hp account to start over, and hope for the best.

Unbelievably convoluted given I bought the printer just to print my sons weekend homework. Surely it's not that difficult? Hopefully someone with actual technical know-how can help where hp "support" blustered.

Unfortunately this did not fix my problem. I have a different error code, perhaps that's why.

Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0410

my printer's screen has this message.

It seems to me to me an account issue, rather than connectivity. My phone and a laptop both find and communicate with the printer. But get the error on the printer screen. HP smart gets the Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0410
