HP ENVY 4524
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I was printing to my HP ENVY 4524 when I noticed that the prints had stopped coming out. When I looked at the printer the display showed the HP logo and a loading progress bar underneath. After about 10 seconds the display goes off then comes back exactly the same and repeats in a loop. If I hold down the power button when the display goes off, the three touch sensitive lights to the left of the display illuminate and then nothing happens. When I randomly press these I eventually get 4 choices on the screen. These are MFG, REFLASH, AUDIT and MENU. I've been through all of these and always end up at the same loop. I've tried unplugging for varying lengths of time including overnight but on reconnecting to power, I get the same loop.

I have now connected to my MacBook via usb and the printer is not seen.

Is it time for a new printer?

This seems to be a Hardware issue and since the Printer is not even booting up, I suggest you contact HP Support for Service Options
