I have a HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw which is stuck on a loop, restarting at the initialise phase.
I have read other posts with people having the same problem.
I have turned the printer off, disconnected the power cord from both the printer and the wall for a long time, and the same thing keeps happening.
How do I perform a hard reset of this printer? If that doesn't work I will have to return it.
Thanks.

Hi @marcverbinnen,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
To factory reset the MFP 179fnw, please follow these steps.
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Press and hold the cancel button and wireless button simultaneously.
- While still holding the buttons, turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
- Keep holding the buttons until the printer display screen shows "Permanent Storage Init".
- Release the buttons, and the printer will perform a factory reset.
Note that this process will erase all user data and settings on the printer, so you will need to reconfigure the printer settings once the reset is complete.
I hope this helps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
