Hello,
all of a sudden web services and a registertered account are needed to keep using my printer.
Error Code: OW_4XX_OWSWS00001
It was working before, but apparently I now have to create an account, which appears to not be possible on weekends for some reason.
Needless to say that nobody ever wanted to have an HP account, it's just the same as with everything else. I want to print. That's it.
Apparently HP is collecting all the stuff I want to print in HP databases. Since I'm printing contracts and other things I do not want to share with HP and have them stored on their servers this behavior is deeply disturbing.
Is there a way to use an HP printer without uploading all the contents to HP? Or is that just not a thing anymore?
I will absolutely not give an HP support person access to my workstation, this is ridiculous and I have no idea how companies working with sensitive data can actually use HP products.
I've tried different flavors of Windows, Mac and even iOS device, to no avail.
Thanks for being available for support Monday to Friday, that's definitely very modern and not stuck in the 50s at all.
Help me, please.

@GeezMan
Welcome to the HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
