If you only want the print driver (without the Photosmart Software Suite), it is available as a separate download named "HP Officejet and PSC Basic Software and Driver"." Can you please tell me how I can just obtain the latter, I do not want the HP Photosmart S/W Suite as I think this was causing the previous problem. Thank you very much.

Thanks for trying out the steps.
This pop up is occurring most likely due to a software conflict of some sort on your system which didn't allow for the proper installation of photo and imaging 2.0. You can try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling the software via the link above and selecting a custom install...i.e. during the installation select which components you want to install. uncheck any photo and imaging software and complete the installation to see if that resolves the issue.

My Apologies for the delay in getting back to you-----this has been one of those opportunities. Anyhow, you have solved my problem. The installation when smoothly for the PSC 2175 printer all-in-on and I am now back in the printing business. Thank you very much for your great TECH help!!!!
